Middlesboro Tannery – State Superfund Site, Middlesboro, Kentucky. Design and implementation of Site
Investigation Work Plan for environmental characterization of abandoned tannery site. Performed under contract to
Kentucky Finance Cabinet and KDWM Superfund Branch.
Barnwell County Landfill, Barnwell, South Carolina. Development and implementation of work plan for USEPA
Region 4 CERCLA removal of buried drummed wastes at a Subtitle D landfill.
Tecumseh Products Co., Somerset, Kentucky. Development and implementation of Immediate Removal Work
Plan for remediation of buried drums containing trichloroethylene at adjacent Bruce Weddle property.
Fuels & Chemicals Superfund Site – Coaling, Alabama. Development and implementation of Phase I and
Phase II Immediate Removal Work Plans at abandoned RCRA TSDF.
ATR Wire & Cable Company, Inc., Danville, Kentucky. Site Investigation/Characterization;
design/implementation/certification of RCRA Closure; karst hydrogeologic investigations; and design/installation
ground water monitoring system.
Harlan County Landfill, Harlan, Kentucky. Site characterization, design, and construction management for
remediation of legacy landfill. Contracted by Kentucky Finance Cabinet and KDWM Solid Waste Branch under
Kentucky PRIDE Fund.
Mr. Edmonson joined Shield Environmental
Associates, Inc. as a Senior Environmental
Engineer and Project Manager in June
2001. Currently, he is the manager of
Shield’s Louisville, Kentucky office and
project manager for site investigation and
remediation projects.
With over 28 years of progressive
experience in environmental engineering,
consulting, and construction management
on projects throughout the Midwest and
South-Central United States, Mr.
Edmonson has managed numerous
remediation, site characterization, and
emergency response projects involving
petroleum, hazardous, and/or toxic
substances at sites regulated under
CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, and analogous
state programs.
